EPOK-EPOK SAYUR

Kulitnya
1kg tepung gandum
2 sudu besar (bumbung) minyak sapi
120 ml minyak masak
350 ml air hangat/panas
1½ sudu teh garam (campurkan pada air hangat/panas)

Cara:

Biarkan doh rehat kira-kira setengah jam. Setelah itu, buatlah bebola-bebola kecil mengikut saiz yg anda suka. Kemudian canai nipis dan isikan dgn inti sayur dan kelimlah dgn rapi dan kemas.

Goreng dgn minyak yg mencukupi dgn api yg sederhana panas sehingga kuningan. Hidangkan bersama sambal cuka.

Inti sayur-nya

3-4 ulas bawang putih
1 biji bawang besar
1 btg kecil cili merah
3 sudu besar udang kering (rendam)
(Kesemua bahan di atas di tumbuk/kisar halus)

400 gm taugeh (bersihkan, kalau rajin buang ‘ekor’nya)
1 biji sederhana sengkuang (hiris seperti lidi mancis)
½ batang lobak merah (hiris seperti lidi mancis)
sedikit daun sup/bawang
garam secukup rasa
secukup minyak utk menumis (kira-kira 3 sudu besar)

Cara membuat inti sayur-nya:

  • Panaskan minyak dlm kuali lalu tumis bahan kisar hingga garing.
  • Masukkan sengkuang dan lobak merah.
  • Kacau rata dan biarkan sebentar sehingga separuh masak.
  • Kemudian masukkan taugeh dan garam.
  • Kacau sehingga rata.
  • Jangan terlalu lama supaya taugeh tidak layu sangat.
  • Last sekali bubuh daun sup/bawang. Gaul dan matikan api.
  • Sejukkan dahulu sebelum gunakan

Sambal Cuka
10 sudu besar (bumbung) cili kering kisar
4 ulas bawang putih (tumbuk)
2-2½ cawan air
1 sudu teh garam
3 sudu besar cuka
4 sudu besar gula pasir

High Blood Pressure - Hypertension

High blood pressure (hypertension) is a serious condition. It’s called the “silent killer” because people often have no symptoms, yet it can lead to some serious and sometimes even fatal conditions.

Your blood moves through your body at a certain rate. According to the Heart Association, a blood pressure reading of less than 120/80 mmHg is considered normal.

You are diagnosed with high blood pressure (hypertension) if your blood pressure readings are consistently above 140/90 mmHg.

When you have high blood pressure, your blood moves through your arteries at a higher pressure, putting more pressure on the delicate tissues and damaging your blood vessels.

Diagnosing High Blood Pressure
There are a few types of high blood pressure depending on severity. They are:
  • prehypertension: 120/80 mmHg or higher
  • stage 1 high blood pressure: 140/90 mmHg or higher
  • stage 2 high blood pressure: 160/100 mmHg or higher
  • hypertensive crisis (a life-threatening condition): 180/110 mmHg or higher

Treatment for high blood pressure varies from changing lifestyle choices to using medications.

If your increased blood pressure is not severe your doctor will probably recommend lifestyle modifications first. These include:
  • losing weight
  • exercising
  • eating healthy
  • reducing the amount of salt in your diet

High Blood Pressure Prevention
If you have a family history of high blood pressure, you should work with your doctor on reducing your risks. You should also take the following measures:
  • Eat a healthy low-sodium diet.
  • Exercise regularly.
  • Try to maintain a healthy weight.
  • Quit smoking.
